The Courtyard and Layered Surrounds

EAST O'MALLEY ACT

‘The Courtyard and Layered Surrounds’ utilises a variety of landscape techniques to control a steeper gradient on the East O’Malley hillside. Larger boulders have been carefully placed in relaxed garden beds, with rolling lawns wrapping around more formal rendered retaining walls.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Mixed planting themes of Loropetalum, Choisya, Prunus, Buxus and Pittosporum varieties are scattered throughout large garden beds and multiple plantings of Ornamental Pears and vibrant Japanese Maples are in the process of maturing in scale against the residence.

An expanse of paving and gravel mulch have been laid in stepping stone configuration, primarily to break up the larger areas of lawn and garden bed plantings. Each quadrant of the stepping stone courtyard is highlighted with a stunning floral display of Mount Fuji Cherry in Springtime.
